Meet The Staff

Dr. Rachel King

Dr. Rachel King is a native of Ashdown, AR.  She graduated from Ashdown High School and went on to receive her undergraduate degree at The University of Arkansas in 2001.  Dr. King received her medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2005.  After medical school she completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2009.  After completing residency, Dr. King was honored to stay an additional year at Arkansas Children’s Hospital to serve as chief resident.

Dr. King is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Pediatrics.  Dr. King is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American College of Physicians.  With both adult and pediatric training, she enjoys being able to take care of the whole family.

Dr. King is happy to be back in her hometown and serving the community in which she grew up.  Dr. King is married to Dr. Zach King, who is a pediatrician in the Texarkana area. They have two children, Sydney and Baxley.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being an active member of her church, spending time outdoors, playing and coaching sports, working out and cooking.

 

 

Jana Adcock

Jana Adcock received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler in Tyler, Texas. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Jana is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Jana has worked in the medical field since 2007; much of her time has been spent in the Intensive Care Units at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler and Christus St. Michael in Texarkana. She has been practicing with Dr. King since 2014.

Jana is a native of New Boston, Texas, and resides in Texarkana with her husband. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, shopping, sports, and spending time at the lake.

 

 

 

 

Jana Boquin

Jana Boquin received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner at Walden University. She completed a Post-Masters Certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas at Arlington. 

She is dual board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Before joining Dr. King in 2021, she was an Intensive Care Unit nurse at UAMS and Christus St. Michael.
Jana lives in Texarkana with her husband, Anthony, and their three children. She enjoys spending time at the lake, sports, and taking trips with her family.

 

 

Barbara Yowell

Barbara Yowell is a native of Texarkana, AR. She has been in Pediatrics for almost 30 years. The past 22 years, she has practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received a Masters Degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child Health Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1994. She received a Post-Masters Certificate as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 1995 from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Barbara is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

Barbara and her husband have 3 sons and daughter-in-laws and 5 grandchildren. She is an active member of Northern Hills Baptist Church. She serves as a short term Medical Missionary and has been on more than 25 trips around the world. She enjoys attending her grandchildren’s events, scrapbooking, and cruising.

 

Wes Aylett

Wes Aylett, a life-long resident of Ashdown, graduated from Ashdown High School and then completed his Associate of Science in Nursing from Texarkana College. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Wes then completed his Post-Masters Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Wes is dual board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He has worked in the medical field eleven years spending time in the Intensive Care Unit at Christus St. Michael and Emergency Rooms of Little River Memorial Hospital and Howard Memorial Hospital. Wes is a certified vascular access specialist and served as a clinical instructor for UAMS.

Wes and wife, Ashley, reside in Ashdown with their two children, Adalie and Cash. The Aylett’s attend Ashdown Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoys time with family, hunting, spending time at the lake, and is an avid Razorback fan.
